During my first Photography Exhibition at Maya Gallery, 2 artists Idris Ali and Wak Karto helped this newbie out to learn the ropes of an effective exhibition as well as to communicate with the buyers. I am really grateful for their help as well as the constructive feedback they provided me.

This Saturday, Idris Ali, a prominent watercolourist in Singapore will be exhibiting his works throughout his 55 year career as an artist at Maya Gallery.

Do drop by the exhibition. More details below.

KHAZANAH
Idris Mohamed Ali
18 March to 8 April 2017

Maya Gallery is delighted to present “Khazanah”, a solo exhibition by watercolour artist Idris Mohamed Ali (b. 1944, Singapore). Khazanah, in Malay and Urdu languages, means Treasure, and in many folklores narrates the concentration of riches, perceived as valuable in tangible calculations and intangible measurements, hidden or discovered fortunes which never fail to excite every audience to draw their own journeys to discover. Khazanah exudes this excitement as we embark on Idris’ 55-year artistic journey, revealing hidden treasures through his documentation of landscapes and street scenes, and his interpretation of that observation in his art.
