Clear Tom Yum Seafood Soup

Every week, there is only 1 place in Singapore that we frequent to for our weekly dose of Tom Yum and delicious Thai food.

GREAThai is located in the eastern part of Singapore in a mall called East Village in the heart of Simpang Bedok. It serves probably the best Tom Yum in Singapore and we are there almost weekly to savour the flavours of Thailand. It is also Halal certified too and you can bring all your friends to try the food.

We always order the same food here over and over again because it is really really delicious. We would usually start off with their signature Tom Yum Seafood Soup which we highly rate it to be the best in Singapore. It comes with combination of seafood such as fresh prawns, succulent squids, fish filet as well as mushrooms. The soup really whets your appetite and the serving is good for 2.

Tip: The Clear Tom Yum version tastes better than the normal Tom Yum.

Deep Fried Stuffed Chicken Wings

Next on our “must order list” would be the Deep Fried Chicken Wings Stuffed with Prawn Paste. Who can ever resist deep fried wings right?

The wings are nicely deep fried to golden brown and the prawn paste filling adds another dimension to the wings. And the sweet Thai chilli sauce really complements the dish very well.

Basil Beef

For our main course, Ann would usually go for the Basil Beef and a side of rice. The beef is thinly sliced (like those shabu shabu pieces) and cooked to perfection with chilli padi (bird’s eye chilli), basil and long beans. Ann love this so much that she rarely wants to share this with me!

Phat Kway Tiao

Phat Thai

Everytime we are here, I am torn between 2 dishes for my main course. Both the Phat Kway Tiao as well at the Phat Thai is really very delicious and comparable to the street food in Thailand that we always have when we are there (except for the price though 😛 ).

So what do we usually do? Invite more friends to our dinner and order all of them to share!

Tip: Add $2 for the beef versions of the Phat Kway Tiao or Phat Thai. Trust us, it is out of this world.

Every bite brings back memories of our Thailand travels. There are many other amazing dishes on the menu but we have not tried all of them but so far GREAThai have not disappointed us.

Come and give this place a try and we assure you that you will be transported to Thailand with every bite.
