Asian Civilisations Museum River Nights 2016
River Nights is back for the third year and we were there to catch the action last weekend. In case you missed it, River Nights will be on 21, 22, 28 & 29 October, from 7pm till late.
There is a myriad of events happening on both sides of the river, the open field besides ACM (Empress Lawn) and Boat Quay. You can bring along picnic blankets and spread yourself like a Fat Starfish while enjoying the sights and sounds. There are film screenings too with various short films from Singapore and Japan. Museum tours are also available on certain timings in the galleries.
According to ACM website the theme this year is “Phantasmagoria“. In an era of sensorial saturation, suffused with virtual and hyper reality, Phantasmagoria inspires new exploration and play on the ambiguity of space, time, and motion. The Singapore River at night presents a perfect canvas of “bright lights, big city”
You can download the Festival Guide for more information on the performances.
There will be more performances this coming weekend. Do head to ACM and join in the festivities. There are also $100 dining vouchers from Privé @ ACM to be won just by sharing your views via a short survey. Just head to the Front Desk to inquire.
Best of all, Admission is FREE!
