Dendrobium – Singapore’s First Electric Supercar
The Dendrobium, Singapore’s First Electric Supercar is making its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, which runs from March 9th to 19th.
The Dendrobium is designed by local company Vanda Electrics and jointly developed with Williams Advanced Engineering who has more than 4 decades of Formula 1 experience. It is an electric two-seater with four motors powered by Formula E lithium batteries with a top speed of 320km/h. It can go from 0km/h – 100km/h in 2.7 seconds!
However, the sleek carbon fibre car with doors that open upwards is currently a concept car and the Geneva Motor Show is being used as a platform to garner interest from the public before heading for production in 2020.
While the company have not announced a price for the Dendrobium, it may head into the millions after COE and taxes in Singapore. 🙁
While I may only dream of driving this car, I am very proud of Vanda Electrics for this achievement. Looking forward to more updates on the Dendrobium!
