Our Lovely Stay at Alam Puisi Villa Ubud

After our great food, Yoga and laidback adventures in Canggu, we decided to head to Ubud for our 2nd part of our holiday as well as to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Ann decided to have a little quiet time for the both of us, therefore, she booked a villa in the calm hills of Ubud with scenic views of paddy fields.

The property is called Alam Puisi Villa which is situated about 10 minutes away from central Ubud. Although you have to drive/ride up some winding hills to get to the Villa, it was all worth it.

As soon as we reached, we were greeted by the friendly staff and even though we were a little early for check-in, Alam Puisi staff managed to prepare us our Villa.

As we entered our room, we were greeted by a pair of swans with red roses scattered all over the bed as well as the bathtub.

It was a nice touch to the room. It feels as though we were newlyweds going for our honeymoon. Actually, we did not have a “proper” honeymoon as we headed for an adventure in Mongolia right after our wedding.

4 years too late. But better late than never. 😛

As we opened the back door of our Villa, we were greeted by our own personal pool with amazing views of the paddy fields.

Ann and I can get used to this!

We immediately lounge on the sunbed and could not believe the beauty of this Villa and the welcoming pool. We just didn’t want this holiday to end!

The room was very comfy and all the facilities we needed was available at the Villa without needing to leave the property.

We even cancelled plans to some places we wanted to visit because we just did not want to leave our room. That is what being a Fat Starfish is all about!

Every afternoon, we were treated to complimentary Tea at the Tepi Sawah Restaurant with views of the paddy fields. Tea is usually Goreng Pisang (Fried Bananas) smothered with chocolate sauce served with a choice of coffee or tea.

Just lovely.

There are complimentary foot massages too but we did not go as we were too busy in our cosy room, lounging by the pool every day. 😉

We would snap photos, catching up on our reading as well as have long naps in between.

This is life.

One of the best services at the Villa is that they provide complimentary Yoga classes every morning. Right after catching the sunrise, Ann and I would practice Yoga with one of the instructors.

What a great start to our mornings!

On our wedding anniversary day, before we went out for our lunch, one of the staff greeted us and asked us randomly whether we were on our honeymoon? We answered that we were not newlyweds but we were celebrating our anniversary.

We did not think much about the chat but after we came back from lunch to our Villa, we were greeted with this….

Alam Puisi Villa Happy Anniversary Welcome, towel swans hotel, red roses petals

The staff spruced up our room and surprised us with a pair of towel swans and a “Happy Anniversary” note made of red roses.

It was a nice surprise by the staff which both Ann and I were very thankful of. We were in love with this Villa that we wished our holiday does not need to end.

All in all, we stayed here for 3 nights and had one of the best times rejuvenating ourselves from our busy daily grind. The rooms were very comfortable, the pool very welcoming, the surroundings peaceful and the staff was top notch.

We truly recommend this enclave if you are visiting Ubud. FYI this is not a sponsored post. Ann and I paid for our stay here. 🙂

Until next time. Safe travels wherever you are.
