Feast on Briyani Dum Platter for 2 This Post Circuit Breaker with Family & Friends by Almamyz
This Circuit Breaker (CB) aka Covid-19 Lockdown, we have been staying at home and indulging on many cuisines and trying out different restaurants via delivery.
One of the highlights of this post CB is trying out a delicious Briyani Platter for 2 by a Home Based Business named Almamyz.
Almamyz is a Home Based Business in Singapore that serves delicious, savoury and great to the last grain Basmati rice Briyani Dum via bento box or a platter for 2 (pictured). Currently, they are only available via Pre-order via their Instagram page and we managed to get a slot delivered to our house.
So what is Briyani Dum?
Briyani Dum is the style of Briyani where the Basmati rice is cooked together with the meat, spices, saffron, layer by layer in a sealed pot which creates a more flavourful rice, less oily and of course heavenly to the last bite.
The Briyani Platter for 2 by Almamyz comes with their signature style of Dum Briyani cooked with layers of savoury Basmati rice, easy to bite mutton pieces, spices and the recipe is highly guarded by a few members of the family.
Personally, the mutton is the highlight of the Briyani Platter for 2 and the rest of the dishes were just complementary. And I must say this is one of my top 3 Mutton Briyanis to eat in Singapore.
To complement the Platter for 2, which is not available via the bento boxes, the Briyani Dum Platter consists of 4 pieces of Masala Prawns which we were informed that the Masala spices are specially handmade and curated by the family.
The prawns were fresh and the Masala spices did not overpower the highlight of the Briyani which to me was the delicious mutton.
The Briyani Platter also came with 2 pieces of Ayam Masak Merah (Chicken Cooked in Red Sauce) which Ann really enjoyed as she had been craving a good Ayam Masak Merah for a long time and the one by Almamyz did not disappoint.
Chef Bob recently tried this Briyani and he too was impressed by the delicious mutton and savoury rice. We also learnt that Almamyz made their own Fried Shallots for the condiment topping of their Briyani.
This shows how much effort and love is put in this Briyani Platter! And we hope it stays that way always.
Ann and I wiped cleaned the Briyani Platter and we are looking forward to ordering again once their Pre-order is open.
Details of ordering their Briyani can be found on their Instagram below.
Give it a try if you are into delicious tasting Briyani. Do note this is their promotional price and it might change in the future.
As we are not 100% Covid-19 free, do practice all the necessary measures when meeting up with family or friends.
Till next time. Stay Safe.
