Once in awhile Ann and I would ride or drive up north to Kuala Lumpur (KL) for a little getaway from our busy lives in Singapore.

While there are many hotels new and old all over KL, we tend to end up at the 4-Star Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur as our top choice for our accommodation needs.

Concorde Hotel might have aged a little but that does not deter us from staying there. We are so used to staying there that we have been accustomed to its every nook and cranny that it feels like our home away from home.

Here are our 12 top reasons why we love Concorde Hotel.

• Concorde Hotel is an hour drive from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport. And a 10-minute drive from Putra World Trade Centre.
• This 4-star hotel is conveniently located in the golden triangle, a 10-minute walk from Petronas Twin Towers (KLCC), luxury Pavilion Mall and cultural Chow Kit.
• Concorde Hotel has all our basic needs covered. They have pleasant air-conditioned standard rooms with wifi, cable tv and tea/coffee maker. Usually, we would get upgraded to the Deluxe room for no reason. That is what we call great service!

• Most rooms are soundproofed with flat screen TV and DVD player for all your entertainment needs.
• The hotel has a gym, outdoor swimming pool and amenities.
• If you ride or drive up to KL, Concorde Hotel will take care of your parking needs. There are parking lots directly outside the Hard Rock Cafe as well as outside of the security guard room at the back of the hotel. It really helps to have peace of mind that our vehicles are always safe. Best of all parking is Complimentary!
• There is no need to worry about our meals. Concorde Hotel has 4 restaurants to cater to your gastronomic desires. There are also high-end restaurants to inexpensive street food stalls scattered around the vicinity of the hotel.
  

  Hard Rock Cafe KL

• The iconic Hard Rock Hotel is situated in the hotel. We are always there for the Live English Premier League matches and their desserts.
• Concorde Hotel has the best Nasi Lemak in the whole of KL. The Nasi Lemak at the Concorde Hotel is out of this world! It is served with a variety of dishes including Chicken Rendang (non-crispy of course 😛 ).
• Ann and I would wake up early every day for their complimentary Intercontinental breakfast and jump straight back to sleep after stuffing our faces.
• Concorde Hotel always allows us to Checkout Late without any extra fees.
