8 Items We Love At Decathlon For Our Cycling Adventures

We have been cycling a lot lately with our newly bought Bickerton bicycles. From Punggol Waterway Park to Marina Bay Sands and East Coast Parkway, this new hobby of ours has opened up our eyes to various interesting locations in Singapore that we might not have ventured to if we were driving.

And thank God for Decathlon, we have been buying tons of useful and cheap accessories for our riding pleasure as well as for our bicycles.

Below are some of the stuff we got from Decathlon.

Mini Bike Bell

Bicycle Bell Singapore, Decathlon Singapore Review, Cycling in Singapore

Ann die die wanted to get a bicycle bell for our safety. To me, it doesn’t look cool on my bicycle so we only bought 1 for Ann. 😛

So far, it has been a great tool to ring the bell from unsuspecting pedestrians who have eyes constantly glued to their smartphones!

Bike Handlebar Bag

Decathlon Singapore Review, Cycling in Singapore, BTwin Handlebar Bag, 2.5 litre bicycle bag,

This is my most favourite accessory for my bicycle. This 2.5-litre pack can fit all our stuff from smartphones, towels, tools and even has a strap inside to secure our keys.

It fits onto the handlebars via a velcro rip tab, so you do not need special tools to latch onto your bicycle. It even comes with a 2-year warranty! Ann did not get one as it was big enough to share.

Rear USB LED Bike Back Light

Safety lights cycling, Decathlon Singapore, PCN, Back Lights, USB powered,

We have been to Decathlon twice and every time we wanted to get this LED Back Light, it was sold out. It clips onto and unclips from the bike or cyclists’ accessories such as our Handlebar Bag easily and it charges via USB.

Still waiting for this LED light to be back in stock.

Men’s Running Tights

Running Tights for Men Singapore, Cycling, Decathlon Singapore Review, Cycling in Singapore

Ann thinks I look sexy in this tights. 😆 She bought for me the tights so that I won’t show off my skinny legs to my other friends. It is actually for running but it is really comfortable for hot day cycling too.

The tights wick perspiration away easily, have a key pocket as well as one special smartphone pocket to keep your sweat away.

Forclaz 50 Cap

Breathable Cap for Exercise, Cap for Cycling, Decathlon Singapore Review, Cycling in Singapore

This is actually a hiking cap. For $3.90 each, we think that is a good bargain to keep our hair in place during our rides. It is made from breathable quick-drying material and weighs less than 50 grams. Ann got the light grey colour while I got the blue one.

After our rides, we would give it a rinse and hung up to dry ready for our next adventure.

Hand Pump

Hand Pump Decathlon, Decathlon Singapore Review, Cycling in Singapore

As we were in a rush the other day, we did not manage to get some of the stuff we wanted for our cycling adventures. One of the most important items we missed out was the Hand Pump.

This Hand Pump simply slips on to the valve and lock it on to easily pump up your tyres.
It comes with a frame mount or you can just dump it in the HandleBar Bag.

Bike Bottle Cage + Isothermal Water Bottle

Decathlon Singapore, Cycling Accessories, Decathlon review, Water Bottle and Cage, Bottle Holder Bicycle

Last but not least we would probably get the Bottle Cage as well as an Isothermal Water Bottle to keep us hydrated for our long rides.

The Bottle Cage fits most bicycles and it is made of plastic reinforced with fibreglass. Retails for $6.90.

As for the Isothermal Water Bottle, it can fit up to 500ml of either cold or hot water. We would, of course, fill it up with ice cold water or isotonic drinks. It retails for $13.90.

These are some of the items we already bought and will be getting at Decathlon for our future bicycle rides. Decathlon has 3 outlets or you can check out their offerings at their Online Shop.

FYI, this is not a sponsored post. 🙂 We just love the items Decathlon has to offer for our cycling needs.

Until next time. Enjoy your rides wherever you are.
