Our Stay at M Boutique Hotel Station 18 Ipoh
Ann and I decided to go on a little road trip to Ipoh during the December holidays. We rented a car from our pal, Derrick Motor Rental, packed our bags and away we drove up the north-south highway in the early hours of the morning to avoid the traffic.
We did not plan much for this trip and decided to just go with the flow. And neither did we book any of our accommodation for this trip.
As soon as we reached Ipoh after more than 10 hours of driving, ( We took our own sweet time 🙂 ) we googled some hotels in the area and one location caught our attention.
M Boutique Hotel Station 18
Situated in Taman Pengkalan Jaya, M Boutique Hotel Station 18 offers modern and hipster styled interiors with a well-renowned in-house Japanese restaurant in the whole of Ipoh!
The rooms are not too big nor too small. It was just a nice size for the 2 of us. As soon as we checked in after the long drive, we fell onto the comfy bed and had a little siesta before embarking on our Ipoh adventure.
Each stylishly decorated room boasts :
- Super Comfy Poster Bed
- Sofa
- Air Conditioning
- Private Bathroom with hairdryer & complimentary toiletries
- Flat Screen TV
- Mini-Bar
- Electric Kettle with Complimentary White Coffee which is originated from Ipoh
What we love about M Boutique Hotel Station 18
- M Boutique Hotel Station 18 is situated away from the bustling town of Ipoh. Therefore the area is very quiet to have a peaceful holiday.
- The Poster bed is very comfortable that we did not want to get out of our room.
- The Rooms and attached bathroom are clean and well maintained.
- The Hotel is situated beside the AEON mall where you can get all your shopping needs, food, supermarket and other services.
- The Hotel is situated near popular tourist attractions such as Kellie’s Castle, Tanjung Tualang Tin Dredge No. 5 and many more.
- The famous in-house Japanese restaurant has a menu that is simply delicious and we had one of our dinners there too.
The restaurant is situated at level 1 of the Hotel which you can never miss it. Although it was during the peak period where companies and families were having their annual Christmas dinners, the restaurant manager managed to squeeze us in for a table.
The staff were very friendly and our needs were taken care of even though they were very busy that night. I had a nice bowl of Gyu Don while Ann opted for the Beef Udon.
No raw sashimi for the pregnant Ann. 😛
We had an enjoyable time in Ipoh and our stay at M Boutique Hotel Station 18 was a memorable one. We would definitely want to return to Ipoh to check out the other tourist spots we missed and return to M Boutique Hotel again.
Do check it out. We bet you won’t be disappointed.
