Our Unforgettable Stay at The RuMa Hotel & Residences

After our amazing road trip to Ipoh, we started our car, drove the scenic kampung route instead of the faster highway and made our way south to Kuala Lumpur for another round of adventure.

Ann has been checking out The RuMa, a high-end five-star hotel and that was where we were heading to in Kuala Lumpur.

The RuMa Hotel and Residences is strategically located in the Kuala Lumpur city centre. It is 700 metres away from the Petronas Towers as well as the KLCC shopping district.

The Pavilion, our go-to mall in Kuala Lumpur is just a short walk from the hotel.

As soon as we reached The RuMa, we were greeted with a stylish contemporary facade that was just dripping with luxury.

We were greeted by one of their friendly staff, we were informed to have a seat at the lounge and that there wasn’t a need to queue to check in to The RuMa and everything will be done as we sat back in the comfort of the sofa.

Just Amazing!

A few minutes later after checking in, we were brought up to our room and as we took our few steps in, we were in awe of this beautiful hotel room. The fittings and decor were tastefully done and exceptional.

The room was spectacularly spacious, with great city views, a comfortable bed and a mini-bar which is restocked daily.

Rooms are equipped with:

  • Amazing City Views
  • Air-conditioned
  • A Flat-screen TV and desk
  • Coffee machine and complimentary Nespresso pods
  • Complimentary snacks and a mini-bar which is restocked daily!!
  • A lazy day bed which I spent most of my time on!
  • Nice bathtub with a view which Ann spent a lot of time in!

Never ever Ann and I have been to a hotel this amazing. But that is not all. Breakfast is complimentary too at their in-house restaurant ATAS which serves authentic Malaysian cuisine as well as international fare.

There were so many cuisines to choose from that we were spoilt for choice. There was a buffet spread which includes their signature dry-aged duck and even charcuterie and cheeses.

We highly recommend having their daily baked Viennoiseries, especially the Pain au chocolate and croissants. Ann went for their made-to-order Eggs Benedict while I opted for Mee Rebus with wagyu.

Simply lip-smacking.

Every day after breakfast Ann and I would retreat back to our room or we would hang out at the outdoor swimming pool.

And did we tell you that the pool is heated too?

But that is not all!

The one thing that we truly love about The RuMa is that the check-in time can be as early as 0600 hours and check-out time can be as late as 2300 hours! You do not have to worry if you have an early flight to Kuala Lumpur and do not need to wait till 2 pm to check in like most hotels!

Unbelievable! But true…How we wish all hotels have the flexibility of checking in!

Overall, Ann and I had a truly unforgettable time at The RuMa Hotel & Residences. This is our new favourite place in Kuala Lumpur bar none!

Do check it out. We bet you won’t be disappointed.
